No Teacher Left Behind
Staff Development
One way to provide consistent learning opportunities for teachers and ensure that they are not left behind in learning about new techniques and strategies is by implementing staff development meetings. Staff development is the activities, processes and programs that helps every organization develop and improve the skills. Staff development topics can be covered based on the standards for “What Teachers are able to do and should know,” outlined in National board for professional teaching standards.
Workshops designed especially for Teachers
One method teachers all across the country should use are workshops designed especially for teachers. New things are continually happening with in the teaching field. In order for them to stay on top of new theories and ideas. By putting a teacher workshop in place it will help teachers to sharpen their skills allowing them to become more effective.
Teacher standards
I believe that there should there be a consistent standard for all teachers to meet one of these standards would be a code of ethical procedures that teachers should adhere to. Ethic are believed to be a set of moral rules, not really enforced by law, but should be followed because to do anything else would be wrong morally.
Training and education
Another standard all teachers should meet is training and education. This would include regular training for all teachers to be relevant as society and school based curriculum changes. Teachers should also be educated on topics like classroom management.
