CCHS Staffing Update
Many of you may already be aware that Mr. Styles and Miss MacLeod are away on leave. My goal from the onset has been to establish both a short-term and long-term plan.
We have been able to acquire replacements for both of these teachers. Mr. Ken Sanderson, a retired shop teacher of 3 years, has graciously agreed to help us out in the shop. He is covering the M/W and Friday 1 classes and helping the T/TH and Friday 2 classes as needed. Mr. Gill is covering the other half of this position. Mr. Styles’ leave has now been extended to indefinite, meaning there is no specific return date set.
As for Miss MacLeod’s position, we have Jennifer Oldfield covering the teaching portion. We also have Katie Wade covering the Learning Support Teacher (LST) portion of the position. We hope to have a further update on Miss MacLeod’s leave later this coming week.
We have also been able to fill our vacant Educational Assistant position. We recently saw the departure of Amanda Ellis. We are happy to announce that Miss Kate McAdam will be joining our staff shortly.
I will keep everyone updated on the status of our staffing as further information becomes available.

CCHS Benefit Game
The CCHS Hawks have been challenged again....
'To the CCHS Hockey Program, for many years myself and many other farmers/ranchers have watched your annual charity game with great pleasure, we would love the opportunity to compile a team to challenge you this year. Like a great contending prize fighter I know you have ducked the idea of playing such a team for fear of being out matched, but it’s time for the county to have a chance to display our dominance, not only on the ice but where it counts most. Money Raised for a charitable cause.
Officially I challenge the CCHS Hockey Program on behalf of the “Vulcan County Cowboys” to a friendly match of skill and sportsmanship. The Gauntlet has been thrown down, will you accept?
Sincerely, The Vulcan County Cowboys.'
'To Vulcan County Cowboys
The CCHS Hockey players recognize that it has been many years since a Vulcan Cowboy would have been featured under the bright lights of any arena in a game that started before 10:00 pm. They also recognize there is a considerable amount of skill that, in a time long ago, was exhibited by the Cowboys and feel your group would be worthy of sharing the ice with the Hawks young guns. We sincerely hope no one breaks a hip but are willing to risk Vulcan Cowboy health to provide entertainment for the community and raise money for the arena dressing room expansion project. Consider the gauntlet picked up and your challenge accepted!
CCHS Hockey'
