We currently have one student who is being quarantined due to exposure to COVID-19; we are keeping this student in our prayers. We are grateful that the exposure did not extend to our school building as it happened over the weekend and the student has not been in school since being exposed.
Per the CDC guidelines for COVID-19, parents are to be on the lookout for the following:
- Temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher when taken by mouth
- Sore throat
- New uncontrolled cough that causes difficulty breathing
- Diarrhea, vomiting, or abdominal pain
- New onset of severe fever, especially with a headache
The presence of the above symptoms only means your child has an illness, not necessarily COVID-19. But if you or your child has had contact with someone with COVID-19 or if you've traveled to an area with widespread COVID-19 transmission, you should contact your healthcare provider for guidance on testing. More information can be found in this guide from the Western Upper Peninsula Health Department.
Thank you, all, for your commitment to keeping ALL of our students and staff healthy!
Mrs. Miron, Principal
Don't forget! Our bike-a-thon is THIS Saturday, September 26, from 10 am to 1 pm. Everyone is getting excited about this, and the weather looks like it will be good!
Picture Day is Monday, September 28. Students may wear their uniforms, their spirit wear shirts (since it's a Mascot Monday), or their Sunday best.
We can hardly believe this is our 4th week of school! Progress reports will be available on SchoolSpeak on October 2. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your child's teacher.
