New Year WIGS
So many emotions began 2010 and now looking back, it was one of the best decades of my life. I dove deeper in my Faith, striven to be a better wife to my husband, had all of my children, God brought me to TLCA and I have moved and grown in the organization from a teacher in Abilene to AP in Arlington and I lost one of the most influential women in my life, my Maw Maw Lee.
The last decade was a whirlwind to say the least. One thing remained constant though, I set GOALS and CRUSHED them! I set small goals, much like Lego building blocks building a firm foundation, celebrated along the way and that ultimately led me here, still planning, still growing, still striving to be more; serve more.
What are your Wildly Important Goals for the new decade? What small goals can you set along the way that you can celebrate before reaching your big WIG?
As you decide what goal is best for you and your family, I pray that you find Peace and goodness in the coming New Year and ultimately decade.

Attendance
Regular daily attendance is essential for a student to receive the greatest benefit from instruction. In support of this critical need, Texas Education Code Subchapter C, Section 25.092 states: a student in any grade level from kindergarten through grade 12 may not be given credit or a final grade for a class unless the student is in attendance for at least 90 percent of the days the class is offered. A student who is in attendance for at least 75 percent but less than 90 percent of the days a class is offered may be given credit or a final grade for the class if the student completes a plan approved by the school's principal that provides for the student to meet the instructional requirements of the class. Accrual of excessive absences is subject to review and possible referral for truancy in accordance with state law and local TLCA policy.
Please see our full attendance policy in our Student Handbook located at https://4.files.edl.io/aa5e/09/23/19/152348-acaba198-69bd-4dab-840e-e49e229dc235.pdf
