Assistant Principal's Corner
Dear Families,
We had a fun week this week. 3rd grade went on a field trip to the ballet, all classes celebrated Valentine's day with a small classroom party, the school spelling bee was held, 6th grade students graduated from DARE and had a dance!
Monday is President's Day and there will be NO SCHOOL. On Tuesday the 21st Creekside will conduct a Lockout drill. Look for an email on Monday communicating the time of the drill.
A lockout means all doors are locked and no one is let in or out of the building. School continues as normal. A lockout is called when there is a threat or hazard outside the school building. Typically, law enforcement or another emergency agency asks the school to go into a lockout. In the event of an actual lockout, parents will be informed once the school has full an accurate information. We appreciate your cooperation as we practice lockout procedures with your child. We value your child and their safety and want to be prepared in the even of an actual threat.
This is a reminder that the parent and student survey windows are open until March 3. This is an anonymous survey that will provide valuable feedback to our school and teachers. Please take a minute to respond by going into your MyDSD account. We appreciate the support of our Creekside families and continually strive to improve for our students and community.
Please reach out with any questions or concerns.
Stay Connected!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Geisler
Best of Davis is open for the 2023 school year. Please consider nominating a teacher or staff member that has gone above and beyond for your student. We love to show our support and gratitude for our teachers and staff at Creekside!
Parking Lot Safety
Thank you so much for your care and consideration while dropping off and picking up students! Our Creekside families have done a wonderful job leaving the crosswalk open!
You may notice a great addition to the drop-off/pick-up lane this week thanks to our wonderful PTA. Thank you for
- keeping the crosswalk clear,
- only parking in accessible spots IF you have the appropriate placard, and
- pulling all the way to the curb to drop off/pick up.
Please remember to use the same rules when accessing the parking lot to the east of the school (closer to Fairfield Jr. High.) Use the parking spots to park and wait, and use the driving lanes to keep moving. We appreciate it when you show consideration and kindness for each other!
