Early Release Days - Mark Your Calendar
All elementary schools will have an early release once a month for our teachers to receive professional development focused on increasing student success. On the following days school will be released at 1:30 pm.
April 11
May 9
Each early release day, we will celebrate our school by wearing our Line Creek SPIRIT WEAR!
Measurable Results Assessment - Parent Input
Line Creek parents have the opportunity to share their thoughts about Line Creek. Please take a few minutes to use this link to take the survey. Parent feedback is an important piece of our re-certification process for Leader In Me. We need all surveys to be taken by the end of April. Thank you so much for your help with this!
Watch DOGS
With the changing of the weather and the Watch D.O.G.S. calendar coming to an end, we wanted to present you with another opportunity to come up to the school and engage with students. Unfortunately, the end of the year is challenging for classroom visits, but we would be more than happy to have anyone join us at recess to play games and interact with the students.
We thank you for all of the time that you have already given to the students of Line Creek!
Dismissal Reminders
Additionally, starting in 4th quarter, families who need to pick their child up prior to dismissal need to arrive by 3:10pm. Our number one concern is your child's safety therefore between 3:10pm and 3:40pm students will only be dismissed to families in the car line. Please do not wait on the sidewalk or outside the front doors for your child, we will ask that you return your car and continue in the car line.

Park Hill Stars
The Park Hill Star recognition program was started in 2015 to celebrate support staff and teachers whose work is especially noteworthy.
The following is an overview of the Park Hill Star Program:
Our employees are the reason we are so successful here in the Park Hill School District, and we would like to recognize them for all they do for our students.
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee.
Habit of the Month - Synergize
This month your child(ren) will be learning about Habit 6: Synergize
Please read about this habit and share this habit at home.
Synergize is when two or more people work together to create a better solution that either would have thought of alone.
1. With your children, choose a problem you may have (like bedtime or completing tasks). Use the Synergy Action Plan to summarize your child’s solution and your solution:
(1) Define the problem.
(2) Share your views.
(3) Think of solutions.
(4) Choose the best solution together. See if you can reach a better solution (the High Way) than either of you would have come up with alone.
2. Institute a “15-minute program” where everyone drops what they are doing and pitches in to work as a team to clean the kitchen, pull weeds in the garden, wash the dishes, sweep the front porch, etc. Cutting out a small block of time where everyone helps makes the work go quicker.
3. If your child has siblings, ask each to identify what they think their brother or sister is really good at, then share the lists with each other and discuss how they could Synergize on homework, chores, playing games, sports, etc. If your child does not have siblings, you can do the same exercise using his or her best friends—or you.
Line Creek Elementary Communication
You will find several ways to stay up to date on school activities throughout the year on the Line Creek website, Facebook, Twitter and newsletters from your child’s teacher. You will also occasionally get an automated email or voicemail message sent to you by the school with important information and reminders. We know two-way communication is best, so please feel free to call, email, or stop by the school with any questions you may have regarding your child’s education.
