Teacher Appreciation Week Was A Success!
Monday: A Full Catered Breakfast including bagels, muffins, donuts, fresh, fruit, coffee, and OJ from Tim Horton's
Tuesday: Snacks & Drinks
Wednesday: Smoothies from Smoothie King
Thursday: A Full Catered Taco Bar Lunch for Cinco de Mayo sponsored by Stage House Tavern. A special thank you to Jamie Krutz for helping arrange our luncheon!
Friday: Sweet treats, ice cream, and a gift card raffle. Sixteen staff members received a gift card from the PTO.
Color Run - NEW DATES
Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate and the Color Run had to be rescheduled. The Color Run will now be happening on Friday May 13th from 7 - 8 pm with a rain date of May 14th.
Already registered? Great! There's nothing for you to do but show up on the new date. If you ordered a t-shirt it came home via backpack. Make sure your Bradley Bear wears it to the event.
Never got to register but still want to to attend? There will be walk up registration at the event. Registration is $15 - cash or check only.
Rita's Fundraiser - Monday, May 9th
In keeping with our year-long tradition of a monthly Dine & Donate to support BGS, our May event will be at Rita's in Bridgewater on Prince Rogers Ave on May 9th.
Come out and enjoy a cool treat while helping BGS! Show the flyer below or mention the fundraiser and 10% of sales will be donated back to BGS!
In-Person PTO Meeting - May 11
Our next PTO meeting will be held IN-PERSON in the BGS Library on May 11th at 7pm (details below). No virtual viewing option will be offered.
Please consider joining us to get caught up on recent school happenings, voting in our new PTO board for next school year, plans for end of year (4th grade fun day, etc.) as well as celebrating our Teacher of the Year and Service Professional of the Year winners. Light refreshments will be served as part of our celebration.

Readathon Wrap Up
Now that our 4 week collection period after the readathon is over, we have finally wrapped things up for our readathon. Mrs. Binford announced our school's top readers and fundraisers at this month's school wide meeting and each child received a certificate and a book in recognition of their hard work.
All of our top readers were entered into a raffle for 2 Kindle Fire Tablets. Our raffle was also held during this month's school wide meeting. See below for all of the results. Thank you to all our families for making this the most successful readathon to date!

- Students had sponsors pledge $15,071.43 (please note the PTO does not net this full amount)
- 78% percent of students logged on to Readafun at some point
- 204 students (out of 262) logged reading
- Students logged 135,292 minutes of reading
- Students read 4,013 books
- The following classes had 100% of the students log reading: Rose AM, Rose/Kaye PM, Bohen, Maciolek, Heffernan, Hudock, and Perler
- Classes with the highest percentage of students fundraising: Perler (100%), Bohen (77%), Sugarman (57%), Tiberio (56%), McNulty (53%)

Flocking Is Back!
Help support BGS while having a little pink flamingo fun! Make a $25 donation to send a flock of 20 pink flamingos to your friends', neighbors', or family members' front yards! The flock will fly in overnight and fly on to a new location after 2 days.
Send the flock to someone on their birthday, to celebrate a milestone, as a pick me up, or just for fun! You can send the flock to anyone who lives within the BGS attendance area. For an additional $5 you can add a birthday balloon to the flock!
All flocking is anonymous! A $5 donation allows the recipient to find out who sent the flock their way.
Want to make sure you aren't flocked at all or aren't flocked AGAIN? No problem! For a $10 donation you can purchase Flocking Insurance. If someone tries to flock you at any point during the school year, the flamingos will go to them instead!
The flock is ready to fly now through the end of the school year but you should signi up now and reserve the flock for your desired date. To sign up to send a flock, find out who flocked you, or purchase flocking insurance, just click here!
