Silly Squirrels
February 2018
Recap Last Month
Hello! We finished up celebrating the holidays and the New Year. The Silly Squirrels participated in several winter art, and science activities such as making snow man name tags, painting with shaving cream, talking about animal hibernation and making bear caves, to making construction paper mittens, paint-resistant MLK Peace Signs, and assorted shape construction paper trains. Ms. Debbie, from the Menomonie Public Library, came to read the children a few stories this month as well. Finally, we followed the month up by talking about feelings and manners, and promoting dental health.
February 2018
Yay! The daylight is getting longer each day. We love the sun! The Silly Squirrels anticipate spring approaching around the corner. I wonder what Ground Hog Day will bring us; hopefully we can start thinking about planting our garden, and growing in-door plants. Valentine's day is right around the corner; we will be having our Valentine's Day party! Keep dressing your kiddos in layers as the weather will continue to be cold and wet. Please, continue to send snow pants, boots, and other outdoor winter gear. We sure do appreciate each of our Milestones families. Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Jessica continue to invite you into our classroom any time. Please feel welcome to come in and explore with your child. If you have any concerns, hopes, or ideas for us to share in our classroom, please feel free to chat with us so we can help your child reach their Milestones.
