Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences are quickly approaching. Longfellow MS will be hosting parent teacher conferences on November 3rd from 5 to 8 pm and November 4th from 8 to 12:00. Report cards will be available at that time for pick up. All parent teacher conferences will be come and go. You will have an opportunity to meet with your child's team of teachers. Check in through the front office for specific locations once you have arrived.

Loaded Baked Potato

Come see Longfellow's Fall Play, the Loaded Baked Potato IV: Foiled Again! A sketch comedy show written and performed by Longfellow students. The final performance is today at 7:00 pm in the Longfellow Auditorium. Remember that admission is free!

Parking Reminder

As a reminder, the parking lot across the street is not part of school parking. They will tow unauthorized cars. Thank you for your assistance.

Homework Helpers

Homework Helpers will be in the library on Wednesdays from 4pm to 5pm.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week this year will be celebrated at LMS from October 24- October 31. In celebration of Red Ribbon Week, students will be allowed to participate in dress up days.


Monday, October 31: Boo to drugs- Halloween costumes


For all dress up days, students may not have face paint, masks, bloody/ scary, or pretend weapons. Please make sure that all costumes meet the dress code and are appropriate for school.

Booster Club Update

The LMS Athletic Booster Club is selling T-Shirts. See below for your options. Mrs. Hime has them in the office for purchase.

Book Study

Longfellow MS is hosting a parent book study over the book Getting to Calm. The book study focuses on research based strategies for parenting tweens and teens. If you would like to participate in the book study, please email Mr. Braly for more information jbraly@norman.k12.ok.us.

Opportunity for Superintendent Hofmeister's Student Advisory Council

Oklahoma State Superintendent Hofmeister is accepting applications for the State Student Advisory Council. Twenty-five students from across Oklahoma will be selected to participate in the council to help address the needs of students across Oklahoma. Students can ask their counselor for an application.

LMS Spelling Bee

The LMS school-wide spelling bee will be held on Tuesday, November 22 at 9am in the LMS Auditorium. Students will be required to come on stage to spell their word(s). Parents- your student must use their NPS Student Google account to complete the sign up form below. If a student signs up on this form, they will be required to participate in the bee. LMS @ Sonic

Visit Sonic on Tuesday November 1 and November 15 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm . Tell them you are with Longfellow MS. All proceeds go to support LMS activities. The Porter location only.
