What's Happening
We have several exciting things happening in October! We will read fiction and nonfiction books about what happens in fall. We will also study pumpkins, bats, and little old ladies who aren't scared of anything!
We will also continue learning new letter sounds with our Jolly Phonics program. Each week we identify a new letter and the sound that letter makes. Each sound comes with a special song to help us remember how to say the letter.
We've had a few special visitors in our class this month! Al, Keisha, and Ty our puppets from the Al's Pals Social/Emotional Curriculum have stopped by to teach us about feelings! Twice a week, Ms. Sandy (along with the puppets) give a lesson on friendship, calming down when we have strong feelings, and other important topics dealing with social and emotional topics.
