Whats New In Gym Class
Hey everyone! It is May which means the warm weather is officially here, or so we hope! With the weather being warmer I am going to try my hardest to have the students outside more, so please be sure that your child is dressed appropriately and that they are wearing sunscreen on the days they have gym. I encourage you to have your child bring a water bottle to gym with them. When we are outside or in, the students having their own water bottle makes it much easier for them to get their own drinks when they need to. In gym this month we will be starting a new unit: Basket ball. The students are really excited about this because we have new portable basketball nets in the gym(s) now!
Some things to keep in mind and keep any eye out for:
- Third Grade Day is May 17th. This is just for the third graders. After 3rd grade orientation, students will spend time participating in a variety of fun and challenging activities outside. If you have a child in third grade, please send them to school this day with a towel to sit on while having lunch outside.
- Field Day is June 7th with a rain date of June 14th. All students will be participating in the fun and excitement of Field Day. Please keep your eyes peeled, there will be more information regarding Field Day sent home with your child in the near future.
As always if any of you have any questions please contact me.
