CELTIC GALA - 2020 - LIGHT OF THE WORLD Saturday, February 1st, 6pm

Hello HT Families,

This week we will set up for our Celtic Gala 2020 happening this Saturday, Feb. 1st. The Celtic Gala is our most important fundraiser of the year. It helps us fund our Tuition Assistance program, which allows so many of our students to attend Holy Trinity. We encourage everyone to consider joining us for this special event and show your support for our school.

You can support by buying tickets for and/or making a donation to the Gala. Your support helps us create the budget from which we then disburse all Tuition Assistance. It is vital that we receive support in this, so that we may continue to assist all our families who choose to send their children to HT. If you receive Tuition Assistance, we especially ask that you consider giving back so we can continue our Tuition Assistance program. No gift to the Gala is too small. But your presence at the Gala is the best gift of all! We really hope to see you there.

You may purchase your Gala tickets directly at the office, or you may purchase your Gala tickets online by clicking on the following link (if you cannot attend, please consider clicking on the link below to make a donation to our Gala - your support in turn supports our students!):

A few other reminders--

1) HT Families (Killian, Columba, Finnian, and Aidan) all put together baskets for the silent auction. Family sponsors will be coordinating that with your student. We usually ask for students to bring items that pertain to their family basket, or a monetary donation.

The family baskets are as follows:

Columba--Movie Basket

Killian--Valentine's Basket

Aidan-- Rainy Day Basket

Finnian-- Handyman Basket

2) HT Classes (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior) also pitch in to make bigger class baskets that are auctioned off as a live auction item. You may donate a monetary amount ($20 is recommended) or you may bring items that pertain to your class basket.

The class baskets are as follows:

Freshman--St. Rose Gardener's Basket. Here is the link to sign up for items with google sheets.

Everyone should be able to sign up, but if you cannot, you might have to request permission to sign up. You may also just bring items up to the school office. All items for Class baskets and Family Baskets must be turned in by Monday January 27th to allow us time to put it all together.

Thank you, thank you for helping with these items for our school gala!

LAST WEEK AT A GLANCE

It was a quiet week with over 30 students attending the March for Life

However school, and prayer services, carried on despite our reduced numbers.

And for Mass, Father Sang from Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton came to celebrate Mass and really lifted our spirits

Thank you Father Sang for coming to celebrate Mass with us!

MARCH FOR LIFE PILGRIMAGE 2020

The 2020 Pilgrimage of students from Holy Trinity CHS and Dominic Savio CHS began with a beautiful Mass celebrated in our Fr. Charles Davis Chapel by Fr. Kurtis of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He inspired the students to live out the pilgrimage of the coming days through personal and humble acts of Charity - small gestures of charity towards anyone and everyone they encountered during their trip. He called on them to remember Saint Agnes, whose feast day it was, who through her constancy and humility accomplished great things. Each of them, Fr. Kurtis reminded them, could emulate that in the constancy of their charity and humility as they joined the throngs on the Mall in Washington, DC.

After Mass, all the students and chaperones were invited to dinner in our KC Hall.

A delicious dinner organized and served by Mrs. Rockwood and Ms. Snyder helped unite the students from Dominic Savio CHS and HT CHS before they all set off in the 2 charter buses towards DC.

Images from their trip...

We are so proud of all these students and all the chaperones who accompanied them! They Drove for hours, slept on the bus, slept one night on the floor of Elizabeth Seton CHS gym floor, attended Mass at the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC, toured a few sites in Washington, and most especially Marched for LIFE, enthusiastically and with joy. They represented us all and we are so grateful to them for going on this mission trip.

Thank you to all the Dominic Savio and HT students and chaperones!

All families are asked to complete 20 service hours

EIM TRAINING FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS

Ethics and Integrity Ministry (EIM)

In an effort to protect our children, the Diocese of Austin mandates that all individuals who have contact with our children must be in compliance with the Ethics and Integrity in Ministry Policy, which equips each of us with the tools and knowledge to protect our children from possible abuse and perpetrators. All parents MUST complete this process to volunteer at the school.

Registration is required through the Diocese. In order to register for an EIM Workshop, you must first complete the volunteer application which is on their website. Once you have attended the workshop please submit a copy of the certificate to the school office. This workshop is for new parents and those who are in need of the refresher course.
