Ludwig Van Beethoven
1770-1827
Born and Raised
Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany on December 17, 1770. His childhood wasn't the best. He was one of seven other children and only him and to others had made it to adulthood. He preferred his mother, Maria, to his father, Johann. His father was very demanding and hard-drinking. His father gave music lessons and recognized Beethoven's talent and then used as a source of income.
Where It All Happened
Even though Beethoven was born in Bonn, Germany, he then later moved to Vienna at the age of 17, where he spent the rest of his life. There, he played for Mozart. Many times he had to go back home due to family issues.
As the Noise Began to Fade
Beethoven was slowly going deaf as he composed, until, eventually he became totally deaf. This became an obstacle for Beethoven and his music. Since he wasn't able to hear the music as he played, he decided to cut of it's legs. This made it so that the piano was just sitting on the floor. This way, he was able to feel the vibrations through the floor.
