Social Connection Sessions Coming Soon!
The lack of social connections that we have all experienced during remote learning has affected many of our LHS students and families. With the help of peer leaders and counselors, opportunities to connect socially are coming. Are you interested? If so, please stay tuned for more information and complete this form:

Q3 Schedule Change Request Process
Schedule change forms will be available on the LHS Counseling website beginning the week of December 14th and closing on Thursday, January 7th. Counselors will notify students regarding each request via email throughout this window of time. Parents and students will be included in all schedule change correspondence.
Changes will be made on a very limited basis in order to keep classes and student groups/cohorts balanced. Maintaining balance in classes will be prioritized for the safety of students and staff. Requesting to change a teacher or move an off block does not meet criteria to make a schedule change.
No classes can be added to schedules after January 7th, and any withdrawals requested after January 14th will be subject to an F on the transcript.
If there is an error in your schedule, please email your counselor directly.
Spring College Classes
THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR - SCHOLARSHIP SEASON!
Now that most students have finished their college applications, it is the time of year that scholarship applications really ramp up. There is a new video available on the counseling page of the LHS website that will explain how to find scholarships as well as provide a few tips for ease of use. You can find the video at this link: https://www.thompsonschools.org/Domain/1390
Hamilton Scholars
The 2021 Hamilton Award application has been live for the past month! Alexander Hamilton Scholars recognizes young people for their academic, personal, service
and entrepreneurial accomplishments. Up to thirty-five (35) students from across the nation are selected annually as winners of the Hamilton Award and subsequently enrolled in the five-year Alexander Hamilton Scholars (AHS) Empowerment Program.
Do you know students who would benefit from our program? Here are some of our basic requirements:
- be juniors in high school
- be high-achieving and service-focused
- possess grit and perseverance
- have demonstrated need
- live in the United States (though you don’t have to be a resident!)
- be college-bound to a US-based institution
- be committed to participating in our rigorous five-year curriculum
- be able to attend (potentially virtual) New York Leader Week July 10-15, 2021

Colorado Spirit Crisis Counseling Program
Colorado Spirit is a FEMA funded crisis counseling program responding to COVID-19 in Larimer County with SummitStone Health Partners. The Colorado Spirit Crisis Counseling Program (CCP) is made up of non-traditional mental health providers. They do not diagnose people or treat mental illness. Instead, crisis counselors are a combination of mental health paraprofessionals and professionals who support community members functioning and coping with COVID-19.
Community information is available online at summitstonehealth.org/ColoSpirit.
