Help Wanted! I could still use more people -- if you're interested in helping email me!
I am in need of parents to help me supervise our end of the year NWEA testing in the classroom. I can use as many people as I can get each day. You would be watching to keep students on task or possibly listening to a student read the test to you. You will not be helping them answer the questions. You are just monitoring to make sure they don’t rush through the tests. You do not need any special training for this! If you are able to help one or more of times listed below, we would love to have you!
**You will be working in my classroom with me so you don’t need a volunteer form on file for this!

"The Dip"
The last couple of weeks we watched a video series from Class Dojo about handling difficult tasks. This has been a struggle around here lately- when things have typically been easy at school and then a difficult task arises, many times students do not know how to deal with the situation. In the video series, "the dip" is when you are asked to do something that you haven't done before, aren't good at, or don't like. They gave strategies for coping with this type of problem. I've seen a few really upset that they don't know answers at different times during this year. We have been talking about WHY they have to do things that they aren't "comfortable" with- because it makes you SMARTER! Also, we've been talking about how you can't always be "perfect" at everything- meaning you can't always get an A+ because you are 8 and you don't know everything, yet!!
