What's Going On In The World Of #FAPBG-Wk. of April 9

Week in Review

It was a busy week here for our teachers and team, but we are happy to say we have had our annual district review and our first external IB consultation visit. Both visits went well and provided us with both validation for all of our efforts this year, as well as feedback that will help us continue in our aim of continuous improvement.

Our IB Attribute of the Month for PYP is THINKER. Our students use critical and creative thinking skills to analyze and take responsible action on complex problems. We exercise initiative in making reasoned, ethical decisions. Please see this month's IB Newsletter for more information and ways you discuss being THINKERS at home.

Our 3rd graders will take their very first standardized assessment this week as they begin their English Language Arts FSAs. Third grade students will test in the morning on April 10th and 11th. Students must be present for both days, as the test is broken into two sections to be administered separately.

Attention 5th Grade Parents: 6th Grade Preview Night

This Wednesday, immediately following our PTO meeting at 6pm, our middle school teachers will be presenting 5th grade parents and students with a preview of middle school life. Come hear from current 6th grade students and teachers about all that our middle school has to offer for your soon-to-be-middle school students. Hope to see you there!
