5th Grade Newsletter
August 26-30
Great Start!
Last week was a great start to the 5th Grade school year! We spent our time getting to know one another and setting expectations. Below is information that is important for your child to be successful, and we will send out a newsletter each week to keep parents up to date. Please let us know if you have any questions, and we are all looking forward to an amazing year!
Earbuds
All students will need earbuds for this school year as we utilize technology regularly in class throughout the year. If you are unable to provide earbuds for your child, please let their homeroom teacher know.
Parent Letter
A "Welcome Letter" was sent home has week that covered 5th Grade expectations, discipline policy, BYOD, etc. If you have not signed and returned that last page of that packet, please do so as soon as possible.
Planners
Your child will be bringing home a planner that is required to be signed daily. This is one of our main forms of communication, and your child's assignments will be written down including tests and projects. Also, this is where discipline will be logged and monitored in addition to Class Dojo. We are providing the folders for the planner, and are currently waiting for them to arrive. Once they do, you will responsible for signing their planner each day. We will let you know once they are ready to be sent home.
