All About Castles

William the Conqueror introduced the idea of castles when he invaded England from his hometown in France in 1066. Castles today are used for homes for a king or queen or really wealthy people. Some castles from the Medieval Times can still be seen today.

The First Castle

The first castle was built by the Normans for William the Conqueror. The castle is still standing today and is called the Framlingham Castle.
