MMA Montessori Moments
April 15th, 2019
The Dove Award
- are partners in peace and model peaceful practices.
- honor the individual spirit of the child.
- support the development of the whole child.
- promote student growth.
- possess a growth mindset.
- value diversity.
- love and give of themselves in service to others
- uphold the ideals and philosophies of Dr. Maria Montessori.
A special statement about Ms. Karen:
Ms Karen always has her room filled with a peaceful atmosphere that is apparent from the moment you enter the doorway. She is patient with the children and always comes across in a friendly manner. She allows her students to grow at a pace specifically designed for each child, even if that means a first grader participating in third grade lessons. She has allowed my child to grow and thrive in her classroom. I have always loved the Montessori philosophy, but I feel Ms Karen has put those tools to the best use possible. After reading the attributes for the Dove I feel no one is more deserving than her and it perfectly describes her teaching method.
