T2 Grade/Pass Option Deadline is January 27, 2022:
1. Students may take ONE class per trimester with the Grade/Pass Option. 2. With a final course grade of 60% or more and completed essential learning tasks, students have an OPTION to receive their course grade, or a “P”. It is the student’s responsibility to communicate this choice to their instructor. 3. With a grade of “P”, students will RECEIVE CREDIT for the course. 4. A grade of “P” will NOT count toward 24 credit “honors status” at graduation. 5. A grade of “P” has NO EFFECT on Grade Point Average (GPA).

Associated Clinic of Psychology (Co-Located Mental Health Clinic at EHS) Mental Health Minute: School Refusal and Avoidance
Some students may outright refuse to attend school or create reasons why they should not go. Most often, school-avoiding children do not know precisely why they feel ill, and they may have difficulty communicating what is causing their discomfort or upset.

Managing Anxiety
Among teens and their parents, anxiety can be a misunderstood condition. While some feel that kids will “just grow out of it,” the research shows that this simply is not the case. Anxiety is a normal reaction to life’s many stresses, but those suffering from anxiety disorders are affected way more by everyday life stress than the average person. In order to deal with this, teens dealing with chronic anxiety must face it head-on. Changes in diet, sleep, and exercise can help teens overcome anxiety, as can finding ways to face their fearful situations. But there are also a handful of things that you should absolutely NOT do when attempting to overcome excessive anxiety.

College/Military Visits
The admission representatives that visit Eagan high school are the same people that review college applications. Students can view these visits by logging into their Naviance Student account (Video directions here). Students should register on Naviance for both virtual AND/OR in person college visits. The registration in Naviance is the pass to leave class. If registering for a virtual visit during the school day, students should bring their iPad and earbuds to the counseling office to log-on for the visit. College visits are added daily, so students are encouraged to log into Naviance to see updates.
College Visits currently scheduled for next week:
Monday, December 20th: United States Army National Guard - 1:00 PM
** If students would like to attend any of these college visits, they can register on Naviance.
