Literacy
This week we worked on the letter Jj and Kk. We sang our ABC chant, played Hickety Tickety to identify letters in our name, and practiced handwriting both uppercase and lowercase of each of the letters. Have your child practice writing Jj and Kk at home with markers, crayons, or a pencil!
Math
This week we viewed quilts and described the patterns we observed. We made our own quilt and hung in the hallway for you to see at conferences!

Birthdays
At Crestview Elementary School we take time during morning announcements to highlight students who are celebrating their birthdays. This includes announcing their names and grade levels over the school wide intercom system. If for any reason you do not want your child’s name and birthday announced, please reach out to Janet Ellis, Office Coordinator, in our front office and she will make note of the request.
A reminder that due to life threatening allergies students should not be bringing birthday treats to school this year.
