LPS TIGER TALK
LPS Weekly Newsletter ~ 11/4/2022
Message From The Principal
I hope you've enjoyed a week full of perfect fall weather (for the most part). We had a terrific week here at LPS. Our Tigers were excited to see our LHS Cross-Country Team members who qualified for State head out this morning. Our very own Mr. Sears is an assistant coach so he joined them on their trip north. We wish them the best as they continue to compete and accomplish great things. Go Tigers!
As we move into next week here at LPS, we are looking forward to spending time meeting with families and talking about the progress our students are making. It will be a unique week for students having both Tuesday (conferences) and Friday off school, but we will make the most of the schedule and still have a great week of learning.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend and we will see our Tigers on Monday.
Sincerely,
Kevin Fancher

GIFTED TESTING
The state of Ohio requires that school districts provide an identification procedure for gifted/talented students. However, per the Ohio Department of Education, school districts are not required to serve. Loveland formally begins serving gifted students, within the classrooms, in third grade. Loveland offers full grade testing in second and fourth grades. If students/parents/teachers wish to refer a student for gifted testing outside of the full-grade testing options, referral forms are available from the school office. The referral testing options will take place during November and February. If you would like to refer your child for fall testing, the form is due to the LPS school counselor no later than November 10, 2022. If you have any questions, please reach out to Darcie Chandler at chandlda@lovelandschools.org.
HOLIDAY SUPPORT
The holidays will be here before we know it! Every year, LPS staff sponsors some of our families that need a little extra support during this time of year. Loveland community members are amazing and have expressed interest in helping out as well. If you would like to help make the holidays extra special for some of our students and families, you may sign up below to donate a gift card(s). You can send the gift card to school with your student or drop it off at the front desk by December 2nd. If you have any questions, please contact Darcie Chandler at chandlda@lovelandschools.org. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

THANK YOU to our families and Loveland community who donated and raised close to $60,000 exceeding our $50K goal. We would also like to give a huge shout out to our TOP COMMUNITY SPONSORS who helped make these events happen.
