Mockingjay
By Suzanne Collins
Enjoy the last, but DEFINATELY not least, book of this amazing series!!
I have one word for this book...AMAZING!! The Hunger Games Trilogy books are some of my all-time favorites. They kept me on my toes, always wanting to know what's next. Katniss' stubbornness, Peeta's confusion, Snow's determination, all characteristics that make this book one of many accolades. I would certainly share this book and all its glory to anyone who loves a good story, and I could only hope that they'd love it as much as I did.
CHARACTERS:
Katniss Everdeen
The girl on fire. The leader of the rebellion. The sign of hope for Panem. She is...the Mockingjay
President Snow
His clever mindset, is evil and intriguing. He truly makes you think. He will do anything he can to steal the hope of a better future from his citizens.
Peeta Mellark
His memories have been twisted for the worse, he can't remember his true identity. Will Katniss continue to love the sweet baker's boy. Will he remember who the real enemy is?
QUOTES
SYMBOLS
The Mockingjay
The symbol of hope for the rebellion. "Hope is the only thing stronger than fear." -President Snow. The rebels look to Katniss for courage to keep fighting, because she is the living symbol of hope for Panem.
The White Rose(s)
They reek of blood, and are from none other than Snow himself. They're his signature gifts. They arouse fear in those who encounter them, as does Snow, and are a symbol of his evil, yet intelligent mind.
The Salute
Respect. Gratitude. Admiration. This simple gesture symbolizes them all. It can be an act of defiance in the capitol's eyes, or a way of showing the rebel cause in the districts.
