Parent Communication Tools!
Make a beautiful newsletter with smore.com
Don't forget to snap pictures in your classroom.
Know which students have parent permission for pics - usually it's not that many, so it's easy to remember to keep the camera off those one or two kids. This is an EASY way to show what you are doing. Your pictures can do double-duty on Twitter!
Have students help you build it!
Even the smallest kids can type a few words about what they are doing. Or rather than typing an article, you can copy their work (especially if you are 1:1) and drop it in the newsletter. Writing narratives? Illustrating math concepts? Have an assigned student (or team, or rotation) to help you get this done. Often I found one or two students who were especially suited to a role and let them take charge!
