Issue #1: Back to School 2019

Introduction

Hi everyone! My name is Heidi Biller and I am excited to be MSD's new Educational Technology Specialist for grades K-5. I am looking forward to working with you this school year! I will be available to provide support with District platforms and integrating them into your classroom schedules and curriculum. I will be visiting all K-5 schools, however you can book a time to meet with me 1 on 1 if you'd like. The link is provided below. Some examples of support include:

-Exploring the Google Suite (docs, drive, forms, etc...)

-Setting up and utilizing Google Classroom

-Incorporating Blended Learning models in your classroom

-Creating specific technology based projects for your class (slideshows, presentations, research)

-Tutorials on customizing and getting started with District Platforms

Ready...Set...Work Orders!

The MSD Technology Team is excited to announce their new online help desk ticketing system, Mojo. This system will be used for all technology, online platform and PowerSchool related work orders.

You can find information about how to submit a ticket by clicking this link.

Digital 3 MSD

When your students log into their Chromebooks, you'll notice updated backgrounds that focus on Digital Citizenship. These backgrounds focus on the "Digital 3 MSD" - Be kind, be safe, be responsible. This initiative is also present at Frelinghuysen and the content within each of the 3 phrases will build as students progress through grade levels. Feel free to share this new phrase with your students and remind them of the importance Digital Citizenship both in the classroom and at home.
