The Grove Vine: First Quarter
Parent & Stakeholder Edition
What A Start!
Our word for this year is #INTENTIONAL. We are approaching everything with clear goals in mind. This applies to our academics, behavior, relationships, and much more. In order to support our students behaviorally, we have fully transitioned into a PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) school. We began our year with reviewing our PAWS behavior. Each class discussed what it means to be a Panther at UGE. This included Town Hall meetings with administrators. Students have already shown us what it means to Be Prepared, Act Responsibly, Work as a Team, and Show Respect. They are also working on implementing the new portions of our behavior matrix, which includes specific voice levels for different areas of the building. UGE will continue to communicate with families in regards to PBIS practices and look forward to a successful year for our staff, students, and families.
We have a number of exciting events coming up and hope you can attend. This year has already had an amazing start and we look forward to seeing where we go!

Car Rider
We would like to thank all of our families for their patience during our morning and afternoon transportation adjustments. Our morning car rider drop off has improved greatly. This is all because of you! We are unloading approximately 18 cars at a time and keeping the line moving. With your cooperation and determination to get students to school before 7:45, we have had minimal tardies. Utilizing the bus lanes after 7:15 each morning has also alleviated traffic on Leguin Mill for everyone. Please keep the following in mind when dropping off students:
- Get in line as close to 7:15 as possible to ensure your child is dropped off and in their seat by 7:45 each morning.
- We are only unloading one lane at UGE. This applies to the front and side of the building.
- The second lane should only be utilized by those looking for a parking space. We will not permit drop offs from the second lane for any reason.
- Have students ready to exit the car when you enter the car line so that we can keep traffic moving quickly.
- If you need to enter the building, utilize the cross walk to ensure your safety.
With your continued support and patience, we will be able to get students to class safely and in a timely manner. We appreciate you!
