Put Your Heart into Reading!
The students are excited about our 15th Annual Put Your Heart Into Reading event! There are TWO BIG parts to help with:
1. Help your child choose 2 books that they can read in under 15 minutes.
2. Help them design and decorate a Valentine's Box that represents an element in one of their books. For example, if your child chose to read a book about baseball, then they might make a box that looks like a giant baseball. :)
*Check out Pinterest and http://www.simplykinder.com/valentines-box-family-project/ for ideas!

Students who are collaborative workers will welcome opportunities to collaborate beyond the classroom walls to contribute on a local and global level. Collaborative workers recognize the need for interdependence in a group.
A teacher who creates collaborative workers will seek out and intentionally design authentic collaborative opportunities, celebrate attempts as much as success, provide meaningful feedback, promote individual accountability, and focus on the learning goals.
A parent of collaborative workers will model respectful collaboration, both at home and in a partnership with the school.
