Instructional Focus:
Secondly, I am asking that everyone carefully analyzes the AIMS/AzMERIT schedule that is below. We owe it to our 3-6 grade students/teachers to provide a disruption free testing environment, which will take everyone being flexible and "being on the same page." I would encourage you to print the schedule and highlight how it will impact your day. Notes on changes for specials and lunch times are all included on this document.

Tuesday, March 27...
- 6th grade will have a group from Minnesota coming in to do a Courage Camp (see video below) with the students. This means they will be in the cafeteria all day. As part of this event, three of our school board members will be attending. We will also have representatives from two high schools facilitating small group discussions.
- With 6th grade being in the gym all day; lunch will be outside on the basketball courts. The kids did a great job on our "picnic lunch" for Safety Town. Again, we would love it if as many as possible bring their lunches on this date.
- 4th grade will be doing the AIMS Science Test in an AM and PM session. Quiet in this hallway for the day! Third grade will be switching lunch and specials times with them.

If you are planning on not signing your's, please let me know ASAP. The sooner I know about an open position, the sooner I am able to post it on the district website.
Classified staff, I am supposed to get my allocation for hours next week and will start piecing together a schedule in the coming weeks.

#RedforEd
This is a group that is gaining some traction in the fight for better educational funding in the state of Arizona.
The group is trying to encourage those in support of this mission to wear red on Wednesday to show solidarity. For more information, see Stephanie Usrey.
April 8th and 15th...
On April 15, Central Christian Church is cancelling services and encouraging it's congregation to visit their local schools to help with various projects. Currently they have given us a $500 budget for supplies around campus, secured a Bobcat for laying rock in the garden, promising 50-100 people to help around the school, and making a sizable donation to our PTSO. If you are available to come serve alongside this group, it would be a great community partnership opportunity.
