LEADERSHIP APPLICATIONS
Students who are interested in interviewing for the 2021 Servant Leadership Team for Marching Band can find information at www.roswellband.com. See “Marching Band Leadership Application.”
RHS OUTSTANDING SENIORS
One of our traditions at Roswell is to honor our top seniors as “Outstanding Seniors.” More than just academic performance, this honor goes to the members of the Class of 2021 who “are nominated by the Roswell High School Faculty and staff, and are evaluated based on academic performance, character, leadership, and participation in school and community activities.”
We are so proud that THREE of our band students were honored as Outstanding Seniors! Please join us in congratulating these students: Justin Kamina, Mitchell Loverde, and Ohm Sharma.
ALL STATE UPDATE
Congratulations to Will Nicholson and Harrison Burns for making the 2021 All State Band and Orchestra! We are thrilled that these young musicians get to represent Roswell High School in the state's highest honor for high school musicians. Well done, gentlemen!
BAND BOOSTERS UPDATES
M.A.R.C.H. 2021 DEADLINE IS NEXT WEEK
M.A.R.C.H is just one week away! Donations are coming in slowly; we need all hands on deck to reach our goal! All funds raised now will help lower the fees for next year’s band activities.
Your student’s goal is to raise at least $200 in donations by Friday, March 12.
All donations are tax deductible and can be made by cash, check (payable to RHSBBA), or online at https://www.roswellband.com/support-the-band/march/. Be sure student’s name is included in the memo/notes so they will get credit for it.
Cash/check can be dropped off in the RHSBBA mailbox in the main office at RHS, or mailed to: RHSBBA, 885 Woodstock Road, Suite 430-144, Roswell, GA 30075.
The M.A.R.C.H student information packet at https://www.roswellband.com has helpful tips, sample Facebook posts, flyers, and email examples. Here is one you can copy/edit/paste to post on your social media sites:
"My favorite nonprofit, the Roswell High School Band Boosters Association, is having its 4th Annual M.A.R.C.H. on Saturday, March 13th. Please support my son/daughter (xxxx) on this day of Community Service. It is an awesome way for the Band to give back to Roswell. Simply visit https://www.roswellband.com to make a donation. Be sure to include my son/daughter’s name in the memo area so he/she can get credit for your donation. :-) All funds raised are tax-deductible!"
Saturday, March 13 is the community service work day for M.A.R.C.H.

BANQUET COMMITTEE NEEDED
Do you have a student graduating this year? Don’t miss this opportunity to help plan a special finale for our band students to celebrate their years with the RHS Band. Grab a couple of your favorite band parents and get together to plan a fun event commemorating this important time in students’ lives.
The banquet is held at the beginning of May and typically involves food, music, an awards ceremony, and signing of senior photos. Ideally, the committee would start meeting in March to set a date and plan the budget, location, food, theme, communication, and award order placement. If you love planning events, the band could use your talents. Do it for the kids!
