Spring Keeps Us Hopping Around Here

Spring is definitely here. This time of the year is super busy. As families, we are hopping around from event to event just like that ol' Easter bunny. Besides those field trips, promotion ceremonies, and academic awards; our 3rd-5th graders will be taking their STAAR tests. So please mark your calendars for the following events:

TESTING-

April 18th: Grades 3 and 4 will take the STAAR Reading test

April 19th: Grade 5 will take their STAAR Reading test

May 2nd: Grade 3 will take their STAAR Math test

May 2nd: Grade 5 will take their STAAR Science test

May 9th: Grade 4 will take their STAAR Math test

May 10th: Grade 5 will take their STAAR Math test

Special Events 9:30 am in the auditorium-

April 27th: Students in Grades 1-4 will be recognized for various achievements. Your child's teacher will let those parents know who will be recognized that morning.

May 11th: Kindergarten and Fifth grade students will participate in a promotion program.

More On Testing...

  • Tests will be administered on-line. Paper and pencil are still supplied to students to make notes.
  • Tests are untimed; students will have the entire school day to test if needed.
  • Testing sessions will begin between 8:30-9:00.
  • Please make sure your child is well rested and has a healthy breakfast.
  • We provide snacks and water on that day as well. Please do not send a highly caffeinated sports drink.
  • Most importantly, make sure to say positive encouraging words to your child the morning of the test. Your attitude is contagious. Make it a good one.
