Principal's Message
We are taking extra precautions with our cleaning procedures at OTES with recommendations from the Department of Education. Last snow day, February 27, we hired one of custodians to come in to school and conduct a thorough cleaning of bathrooms, handles, and drinking fountains. We have also asked our custodians to shift some of their daily cleaning routines and give more attention to those sanitation needs that keep students and staff healthy. Parents should keep their children home if they have a fever for a full 24 hours of fever free status. We are preparing as much as we can to combat all health issues in our school district.
STEM Night: what an awesome turn out for STEM Night at OTED. We had lots of fun and can’t wait for the next one!
Empower Me testing: We are preparing for our required state testing in grades 3-5. We spend some time reviewing the online tools and sample questions to help ease anxiety for our students. We ask parents to arrange doctor’s appointments and other activities around the testing date window provided below:
- Fifth Grade March 19-25
Fourth Grade March 25-April 1
Third Grade April 2-April 8
Make up April 8- April 16
Family Dance: March 13th from 6 pm to 8 pm will be our Family Dance. We really love this event created and hosted by our DOGS Group (Dads of Great Students). It's free!!!
