February 4 Update

Chandler Preschool and PDO

Bible Story Focus

This week we read and discussed the Parable of the Lost Sheep. On Tuesday, after the story, the kids helped me find my lost "sheep," and we talked about how imporant it was to not give up until we found that last missing one. I shared with the kids that God does not give up on us either! God cares when we are sad, hurt, sick, or lost. God loves and cares for us just like a shepherd loves and cares for his sheep.

Today, we continued our story and worked on a sheep craft which will come home next Tuesday. The kids did a great job of remembering the story! Ask your child about the story of the lost sheep. Ask him/her how many sheep the shepherd had and how many got lost. Ask your child what the shepherd did and why! Read Luke 15:1-7 together.

MOPS tomorrow 9 AM-11 AM

Join the MOPS group as we explore the subject “The Five Love Languages - How to

Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate.” The concepts are from Gary Chapman’s book by the same name. Becky and Dave Everly, married 48+ years and STILL learning how to build a strong relationship, will be the presenters! Come at 9:00 a.m. for fun, food, and friendship-building. Invite a friend to join us and she just might decide to come more than once, becoming a member of MOPS. Childcare is provided throughout the meeting, which lasts until 11:00 a.m.

Upcoming Open House

We will kick off Open House week on February 28 from 2-4 PM. Please join us at church for some Dr. Seuss crafts and treats. Take this opportunity to meet all of the PDO and preschool teachers, ask questions, and tour the other rooms you never have time to see! Invite your friends and neighbors who might be interested in our program. We look forward to seeing you there!

Enrollment reminder

Just a reminder that Enrollment is open to the entire community. Please turn in your enrollment paperwork soon to secure your spot for next year.

Extra packets are on the nursery counter. Please feel free to get an extra packet to share with a friend. We are excited for next year and expect to add some classes in 2016-17!
