TK & K Field Trip
Our TK and K students had a blast exploring Tanaka Farms! They took a ride on a wagon, ventured through the corn maze, picked fresh vegetables from the farm, and selected their very own pumpkin to take home.
1st Grade Field Trip
Our first grade students also took a field trip to Centennial Farm this week. They planted their own seeds and cuddled up to some adorable baby chicks!
The Great ShakeOut Recap!
On Thursday, October 18th all of our campuses participated in the Great ShakeOut earthquake drill. Over 19 million schools, businesses, and families took part in this global event. We are so proud with how quickly all of our students and staff were able to evacuate and how seriously each of our students took this important drill.
We have monthly fire and earthquake drills, as well as semi-annual lock down drills at each of our campuses to ensure our students and staff are properly prepared in the event of an emergency.
Remember to "Drop, Cover, and Hold On!"
A Look Ahead
Red Ribbon Rally 10/24
On Wednesday, October 24th our students will make their annual pledge to be drug-free! Officer Poffenberger from the Anaheim Police Department will come by to speak to our students about the dangers of drugs and importance of remaining drug-free.
This is a wear red free dress day, so make sure your students wear as much RED as possible!
Citizen of the Month Awards 10/26
On Friday, October 26th, we will hold our Citizen of the Month Awards at 8am on the yard.
Throughout the month of October, students have been learning what it means to display responsibility. Responsibility is the opportunity to act independently and make decisions with accountability. Each student votes for someone in their class who has displayed these qualities and believes they should be recognized.
Be sure to ask your child about how they can act responsibly. Each month, AMA will focus on a different trait based off the seven habits of effective leaders.
November's trait will focus on gratitude; The ability to remember what you have with a thankful heart.
All Citizen of the Month Awards are formal dress days.
