The information on this newsletter is for homeroom teachers (K-5), librarians, and school counselors.
*PE, fine arts, orchestra teachers, etc... do not need to follow these requirements.
Expectations:
Last year, Park received digital citizenship recognition from Common Sense Media for 2019-2021. EPISD continues in this ongoing endeavor that all students become good digital citizens. For this reason, each student will be taught three digital citizenship lessons district wide this year. At Park, one lesson will be taught by the counselor, Ms. Padilla, another by myself, Mrs. Delgado, and the other by each homeroom teacher. The resources below include the lessons to be taught.
Begin by:
Creating a CommonSense Education Account-if you do not have one.
If you have not already created an account in Common Sense Education, you will have to do so to view and download curriculum material. Click on the following link to create an account, Common Sense Education.Once you have created an account or logged in to Common Sense Education, you can click on the following link to access curriculum materials, Digital Citizenship Curriculum.
**Click HERE to view the specific lessons assigned to each grade level by EPISD.
New Teacher Expectations
The Staff Development piece for digital citizenship this year is only for new teachers to EPISD. New teachers can view this webinar independently by clicking on the following link, All-New Digital Citizenship Curriculum. In order to view this webinar, first create an account in edWeb (Click on the link to register). After viewing the video, new teachers will take a 3-question quiz and send it to me via email at cidelgad@episd.org.
