October 27, 2017 - Volume 10

Dear Parents:

We are having a number of students ordering food to be delivered to school. This is fine for home, but not for school. Please talk to your RedHawk about not having food delivered to school if this is their issue. If parents want to drop-off food for their child, not a group, that is certainly welcome!

As of Monday, we will no longer accept food delivery items in the office.

Temporary and Anonymous Apps: What’s the Teen Appeal? [INFOGRAPHIC]

"Self-destructing or anonymous messaging apps, much like one would see in a spy movie, are the latest digital trend for teens. These temporary or anonymous apps allow teens to send messages, images, videos, and other digital content anonymously. Content may self-destruct or vanish after a set time as well. Teens find a sense of security in the anonymity and temporary nature of these apps. However, these features may encourage teens to act uncharacteristically and send questionable or harassing content users wouldn’t normally send."

Mr. Loversky's Halloween Costume Guidelines

For at school on Tuesday, October 31st (Halloween).

  • All costuming must happen at home. That includes any hair of make-up.
  • The costume must be school appropriate.
  • There are no masks allowed.
  • There can be nothing that you carry around that is extra. (ie. weapons, scythes, clubs, dolls, etc.)
  • Teachers are expected to teach that day, though they may have Halloween themed lessons.
  • There will be no Halloween parties. Or candy. Or other treats. Because you will get enough junk at night if you trick or treat.
  • Note: After Halloween, you can only bring a couple of pieces of candy per day. If you bring more, I will get it and eat it. Especially the Take 5's!
