Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright
Both brothers Wilbur and Orville was born near Millville, Indiana. Wilbur Wright was born on April 16,1867. Orville Wright was born on August 19 1871. Together, the Wright brothers developed the first successful airplane in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina—and together they became national heroes. On December 14, 1903 was the first try of testing the plain but it didn't work so on December 17, 1903 they wanted to try to test the plain again so when they tested it that time it turned out very well.
First Airplane (First Flight)
On December 17, 1903, Orville Wright piloted the first powered airplane 20 feet above a wind-swept beach in North Carolina. The flight lasted 12 seconds and covered 120 feet. Three more flights were made that day with Orville's brother Wilbur piloting the record flight lasting 59 seconds over a distance of 852 feet.
