Sweetwater Pop-Up Market Event
We are excited to invite you to kick off summer at the Sweetwater Pop-Up Market on Saturday, June 4, from 9:00 am-noon. The family-friendly event will feature local businesses, live music, local product vendors, and fresh produce.
District 3 Council Member Bill Griffin emphasizes, “There will be plenty of activities for the kids such a rock-climbing wall, corn-hole, and inflatables. While enjoying the fun, shop with local vendors and eat with local businesses, including Sweetwater Bakery, Staggs, and Rays at the Bank.” Hunter Jackson with My101.5 will be onsite with music and giveaways. The event and activities will take place on Huntsville Road near the roundabout, and there is no fee to attend or be a vendor.
Colbert County Tree Risk Workshop
This event will be from 8:00-11:00 am at The Roundhouse in Tuscumbia.

Young Learner's Series: Sunflowers
The program on Sunflowers will take place Saturday, May 21st at 10 am. The program will focus on sunflowers and its uses by southeastern Indigenous people. Students will learn about the importance of sunflowers and work to create an outdoor exhibit for the Museum. Visit https://www.florencealmuseums.com/young-learners to sign up.

Shoals Storytelling Festival to be held May 19 – 21, 2022.
World-class storytellers and musicians will be in Florence, Al at the Shoals Theatre on May 19, 20 and 21 to regale expected crowds with tales of heart, humor and music. The Shoals Storytelling Festival continues with the 11th annual event in the North Alabama area.

Muscle Shoals Music Camp Registration
Registration is Open Until June 1
Muscle Shoals Music Camp, a day camp for high schoolers hosted primarily at the University of North Alabama’s School of the Arts and the Department of Entertainment Industry facilities, will be July 18-22. Applications are available at muscleshoalsmusiccamp.com. Deadline to submit applications is Wednesday, June 1. Campers will study songwriting, recording technology, the music business and the history of Muscle Shoals music. Cost of the camp is $250, which includes meals as well as transportation and admission to field-trip sites. Deadline for payment is Friday, July 1. Bookin' It - 5k Fundraiser
