Characteristics

They have got a 10-40cm tall stem and a loose spike of flowers with six tepals.

Freesias are used as food plants by the larvae of some Lepidoptera species including Large Yellow Underwing.
Also, due to their specific pleasing scent, they are often used in hand creams, shampoos, candles, etc. However, due to their beauty, they are mainly used in wedding bouquets.
