A major change in Eoropean thought, starting in the mid 1500's, in which the study of the natural world began to be characterized by careful observation and the questioning of accepted beliefs.
Who were the people associated with the change?
Galileo Galilei
continued Copernicus theory and was arrested for teaching to others about Copernicus' Theory.
Johannes Kepler
Modified telescope to see right side up and has three laws:1-plant move in eclipses with the sun at one focus.,2-radius vector describe equal areas in equal times.,3-squares are to the periodic times to each other as cubes of the mean distances.
Nicolaus Capernicus
Was the first to say that the earth revolved around sun.
How did the change impact society at the time?
Their ideas and discoveries brought about many new ideas formed within and outside of the country. It was a revolutionary time for everyone. new imports and exports came in and out of many countries. profits improved everywhere and affected many of the population at the time.
How is that change evidenced in today's modern society?
Todays society is greatly impacted by the renaissance. many astronomical contributions were made during this era and so were the mathematical contributions to todays modern math and astronomy. discoveries and contribution like the telescope, almanac, and plolemys calculations proved wrong were made by; galileo johans kepler and nicolaus.
