How did the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment affect former slaves in the south?
these amendments say that any slave in the country are no longer slaves and is going to be treated like a person who wasn't a slave have the right to be free, this is because these amendments say no slavery in the united states, the slaves have the right to be treated as a citizen, and are allowed to vote.
If you were a part of the congress at the time, what other law would you design to protect the former slaves
my law to protect the slaves would be segregation wouldn't be necessary because although they are treated better they still don't get the same rights as others or they don't get the same amount of fairness as others do.
