Let's Get Informed Together
We are so fortunate to have Mr. Jack Genakos as an expert in substance misuse. In an effort to share very important information, Barrington Middle School is offering a free adult “P.A.C.T. Course”. P.A.C.T. stands for Parents and Community Together. There will be two sessions that are two Wednesdays in a row. The dates are now:
Wednesday March 21, 2017 6:00-7:30 PM
Wednesday March 28, 2018 6:00-7:30 PM
Jack is an experienced counselor in the area of substance use and abuse. He has so much information to share with parents, guardians, teachers, and any other adult who works with children.
The focal point for these sessions will be adolescent substance use and ways of preventing and identifying adolescent substance use. Jack will also provide specific information about a variety of resources for both parents/guardians. He will share resources that are meant specifically for our children.

Jack met with the eighth graders Friday February 9th to further the discussion that started in the Fall. Our students were engaged and had meaningful questions. By providing our young people with a safe, reliable source, they are better able to find answers to their questions.
As many know, New Hampshire has some of the highest rates of substance abuse. Please take the time to join us at Barrington Middle School for this potentially life saving information. Sadly, this epidemic is striking close to home for all of us, and we are offering this free opportunity to do what we can to inform parents and guardians with what is really happening in our children's world. It's a very different world than in the past.
