1. How did camp life change the prisoners as a person?

It changed them as a person when they fended for themselves and, they all were being loners. They definitely became stronger, some became weaker.

2. How did camp life change the prisoners as a family?

There relationships in the story changed massively. Families were split apart, never to see each other again. Father-son relationships were torn apart due to weakness, or illnesses. Fathers and Sons dug the graves of one another knowing exactly what they were doing.

3. How did camp life change the prisoners relationships with other human beings?

They all were separated and didn't care about each other at all. They didn't trust one another. They did whatever they could to get a ration of soup, water, bread. That includes taking it from their family members.

3. What does this novel reveal about you as a human being?

What this novel reveals about me as a human being is that I take a lot of things for granite. These people suffered through a lot and it never should have happened. I am very grateful that this did not happen to me and, I hope I never have to experience anything like this.
