A message from our principal
Today the Catholic Church across the world celebrated the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. As a school and faith community, our eighth graders led the school in praying the Holy Rosary and Dr. Patricia O’Keefe, Music, led us in the singing of Immaculate Mary.
The mystery of Mary being assumed into heaven, body and soul, shows us that God wants every human person, body and soul, to be in glory forever, just as Mary is now. This shows how important every single human life is. We must do our best to grow in respect for the lives of others.
Peace in Christ,
Dr. John Shreve

Back to School Night
We hope you all can join us tomorrow night for an educational evening about Holy Family Catholic School. Parents and grandparents are welcome to attend to meet the teachers here at HFCS. Classroom tours will be given, as well as presentations from the teachers regarding class goals and subjects. PreK through 5th grade presentations will begin at 6 p.m. Middle school presentations will begin at 6:45 p.m.
Middle school parents (grades 6-8) will have the opportunity to meet with our new band director, Ms. Kathy Bernal, at the end of the night (about 7:30 p.m.). She will briefly present her expectations for the instrumental program.
Childcare will be available in Scantlin Hall, including a place for the students to do homework if needed. It will surely be a full evening, but hope to see you all there!
Spend lunch with the students!
Lunchroom monitors are needed from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. This is a great way to get to know the students and get service hours! Monitors assist with opening students' food containers, help Mr. Larry hand out meals, assist Mr. Larry with those students that buy milk etc. Those interested can choose to volunteer once a week, once every two weeks, once a month, as they are able. Contact Ann Bjelland at steveanieb@gmail.com to pick your lunchroom days.
We are also in need of Homeroom Parents for PreK 3, Kindergarten and Third Grade. Please contact Ms. Bjelland to volunteer.
Every volunteer must be up to date with their Safe Environment certification in order to volunteer at the school and church. Please contact Tracy Head at busmgr@hfsfw.org for information on Safe Environment training.
