VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE EDUCATOR!
Educator and Educational Services Professional of the Year!
We are excited to participate in the NJ Department of Education’s Governor’s Educator of the Year Program. This program highlights educational innovation, student learning, and the rewards of teaching. It recognizes and honors the contributions of outstanding pre-K through grade 12 classroom teachers and educational services professionals who possess a special talent for inspiring a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities and are leaders in their fields.
Over the past year and a half, educators changed the way they delivered instruction. Now, more than ever before, is the time to celebrate New Jersey's outstanding educators.
Nominations may come from parents and colleagues and are due no later than 3PM Friday, November 19, 2021. Our school Teacher of the Year also has the chance to become County and State Teacher of the Year, so the more you share in your nomination, the better!

A message from Miss DiNardo, School Counselor…
Good Sleep Habits
We are well underway, into this new school year. Hopefully, your child has adapted to his/her school routine, after the unusualness of Covid life. But, have they been able to get back into a regular SLEEP routine again? We stress the benefits of breakfast as a means to fuel children for learning; being well-rested is also a major ingredient in the recipe for school success.
Some important bedtime habits to develop:
- Keep regular sleep and waking times, even on days off.
- Turn off all screens about an hour before bedtime, including TV.
- Be sure your child’s bedroom is quiet, and dimly lit.
- Avoid giving them any drinks or food with caffeine later in the day.
- Encourage them to get lots of natural light in the daytime.
Remember, children aged 5 to 11 need 9 to 11 hours of sleep each night. Not only will they be able to focus better in school, but their immune systems will be stronger, helping them to stay healthier.
