Message from Dr. Reilly

We are thrilled to welcome more Farney friends to our campus! Monday will be the first day of face to face instruction for many of our students. We will be practicing procedures and routines. If you have not reviewed the ABC's of Back to school, please take a few minutes to do so before Monday.

Veterans Day is November 11th. As most of you know we always have a very special tribute to our Veterans! We will celebrate this year too. Our music teacher, Ms. Bond, has been working with students as they learn patriotic songs. We collaborated with the Cy Woods AVP students to create a wonderful tribute video that features music, artwork, and more. Our students have been able to see our Hero Wall each day as they travel the building. We will share the video with our school community on November 11th. Please take a few minutes to honor our Veterans with us.

We are excited to kick off a short fundraiser on Monday. We are moving full speed ahead with STEAM!! Students will come home excited to enter ten working email addresses to earn their Golden Ticket prizes the very next day! Special prize pick-ups for our Connect students will be scheduled to correspond with materials pick up information shared below. Funds will be used to provide virtual author visits, classroom technology, and hopefully painted games on the hardtop for our students to enjoy. It is important to note that only about 3 emails will be sent to potential donors, and once the fundraiser closes, all data is deleted. Email addresses are never sold or shared!

Dr. Reilly

STEAM funds could help us make our hardtop AMAZING!

No Place for Hate

Farney Elementary takes great pride in joining the No Place for Hate initiative that provides schools with an organizing framework for combating bias, bullying and hatred, leading to long-term solutions for creating and maintaining a positive climate. We kicked off our initiative by all signing our No Place for Hate Resolution of Respect and participating in a school wide activity on acceptance and inclusion and recognizing and being proud of our diversity.

Release of Information Forms

If you are needing Behavior Rating Scales completed or are wanting the school to communicate with an outside entity, private tutor, doctor etc. , you will need to complete a Release of Information Form for this school year. You can request this form through the counseling office. When asking teachers to complete Behavior Rating Scales, you will need to give one week’s notice to allow teachers ample time to complete the forms. These forms will be faxed directly to the doctor’s office and you will be notified once this is completed.

Credit By Exam

Although the application window has closed to be able to skip a grade for the current 20-21 school year, there are 2 opportunities available during the year to test to skip for the 21-22 school year. Please see the district website for testing dates and application deadlines..
