Shoe Drive

Calling all BBE Families!

SHINE Club's Service Learning Committee is collecting NEW & GENTLY USED children's TENNIS shoes to donate to Mission Northeast*. This collection will help prepare Mission Northeast for their client's back to school shopping needs. There are many ways to participate:

- donate gently used shoes from your child's closet

- ask neighbors for gently used shoes

- purchase a new pair of shoes to donate

- donate a gift card to a local shoe store

Please consider providing support in one of these ways. All students will place their donated tennis shoes in the labeled bin at the front or back arrival areas. Let's go Bears!

We appreciate your support!

BBE SHINE Club, Service Learning Committee

*Mission Northeast serves clients in Kingwood and surrounding areas covering 800 square miles and 11 zip codes. They provide food, clothing and household items to families in need while also building relationships with them by getting to know them and helping them above and beyond their basic needs.

Fifth Grade End of Year Breakfast

Hello 5th Grade Parents!

As we begin to wrap up the school year, we wanted to keep you in the loop on a few things. Please take a moment to read all of this, as there is a lot going on.

The Fifth Grade End of Year Breakfast will be the morning of May 26 from 9:30-11 a.m and parents are welcome to attend! Please make sure to RSVP to assist the front office with security badges. Please see the RSVP link in the End Of Year Celebrations section above.

During the event, there will be a slideshow with pictures from their elementary school years, whether Bear Branch or another school. Please submit 5-10 of your child’s individual or group photos by May 10. We will be uploading all photos into a Google Album that we will play at the Breakfast and then you will have access to it in the future.

The link for the album was shared in a previous email to all parents of 5th Grade students and cannot be published here. Please do not share this link to others outside of BBE. If you did not receive the email, please contact the 5th Grade End of Year Banquet Committee Chairs at awards@bbepta.com.

For one of the decorations, we are asking for a 4x6 printed kindergarten photo of each student for their place setting for the breakfast. Please get this sent in to your child’s teacher ASAP. We will also be sending out a SignUp Genius link for food signups in the next couple of weeks, as well as a separate note about the parent-sponsored pool party at the Bear Branch pool.

It’s going to be a fun end of the year!!

Thank you,

Ircka West and Brittani Toppass
