Warrior News

A Weekly Newsletter for Warrior Families and Students

March 1, 2019

Dear Warrior Students and Families,

It was another exciting week at MHS. We actually made it a full week in February without an inclement weather day and now we just need the impending polar vortex to steer clear next week! In spite of the cold weather, our Warriors continued to shine this week and countless students demonstrated exactly what it means to be a Warrior. To see more about what I mean, please consider following us on twitter @mhsirvine to see some of the amazing things our students do. Additionally, if you know of a Warrior doing great things, please share the story with us so we can help to celebrate the accomplishment.

Go Warriors!

MHS National Business Honor Society Supports the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative (MHVI)

Throughout the first week of February, Muskego High School’s chapter of the National Business Honor Society held a fundraiser to support the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative (MHVI). Over the past ten years, the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative has helped hundreds of veterans and their families obtain the resources necessary to get back on their feet. From food to temporary housing, MHVI collects a wide variety of donations for the veterans that they are supporting. Many of the donations collected during this fundraiser include money, non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, and toiletries. On February 20th, National Business Honor Society officers, Melissa Brulz, Blake Schultz, Jenna Gaglione, and Mary Grace Catania, had the opportunity to tour MHVI’s facility in West Allis and drop off the donations that were collected. Going to the facility was a fantastic opportunity to see the donations would be going to a reputable organization.
