A Message from the Superintendent
I would like to congratulate our football team and all of our student groups that support Friday Night Lights in Spring Hill’s return to the playoffs. We will play Caddo Mills tonight at 7:00 pm in Van. I would also like to congratulate our cross country team for their seventh place finish at the state meet and Pacesetter Emily Cook, who was named All American Dancer this summer at the American Dance Drill Team Camp. Emily will be performing this Saturday during the halftime show of the San Antonio Spurs. Our students continue to excel in both the classroom and on the competition field.
If you are looking for a great theatre production, then please join us this evening or tomorrow evening, as our high school theatre department presents ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ in the high school theatre at 7:00 pm.
The Texas Education Agency recently released the official Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas 2018-2019 ratings. Spring Hill ISD received the highest rating of superior and scored 96 out of a possible 100 points. As stewards of taxpayer funds, I believe Spring Hill ISD continues to produce spectacular student outcomes with the resources that our community supports us with. Thank you for your support!

Message from Nurse Jaymie Walton
Spring Hill Parents,
FLU season has arrived!
Common signs and symptoms of the flu are fever greater than 100F, coughing/sneezing,
headache, body aches and extreme fatigue.
Please help us minimize the spread of the flu by keeping your student home if they have a fever
greater than 100F. Your student must also be fever free for a full 24 hours WITHOUT the use of
fever reducing medications like Tylenol or Ibuprofen before they can return to school.
Good handwashing, staying home when running fever and exhibiting flu symptoms and yearly
flu vaccines are the best way to protect your family and reduce the spread of the flu.
Thank you for helping us keep our Spring Hill students healthy!

SHHS Theater Presents Arsenic and Old Lace
Stay away from the elderberry wine! Teeming with inexhaustible high jinks, narrow escapes, and vaudeville humor, this quirky farce is one for the ages. Spring Hill High School Theatre Department presents Joseph Kesselring's infectiously funny dark comedy Arsenic and Old Lace. Murder, mayhem, and madcap lunacy abound in the Brewster home. Mortimer Brewster is a drama critic whose two spinster aunts have a unique hobby—they poison lonely old men with elderberry wine laced with arsenic. One of his brothers thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt, and another murderous brother is on the run from the law. All are getting in the way of Mortimer’s plans to marry the woman he loves. Playwright Joseph Kesselring’s masterpiece became an instant classic when the film version was released in 1944 directed by Frank Capra and starring Cary Grant.
