At-School Instruction
COVID-19 2020-2021
Our Goal
- Wearing a Mask
- Washing Hands
- Watching Distances with Others
Below are expectations for Families and Students that a committee of administration, staff, and parents developed, and were approved by the school board. The expectations were designed to help us reach our goal of uninterrupted At-School Instruction during the 2020-2021 school year.
These expectations are subject to change if additional mandates and needs arise in the future.
Families are expected to:
- have a responsible adult at home until the child boards the bus, in the event a child fails screening and cannot board the bus. (BUS BEFORE SCHOOL)
- remain in cars parked outside the elementary and wait for the students to be screened, in the event a child fails screening and cannot enter the school. (DROP OFF BEFORE SCHOOL)
- not drop off students prior to 7:45 a.m. to ensure distancing guidelines are followed. (BEFORE SCHOOL)
- only enter the building when pre-arranged and be screened and masked prior to entering the building.
- remain in cars parked outside the elementary gym and wait for the students to be escorted outside after school. (PICK UP AFTER SCHOOL)
- arrange immediate pick up of sick students.
Students are expected to:
- follow personal protective equipment (masks, shields, etc) as required by state or district mandates. (Wear your mask)
- allow temperature screening prior to entering the bus or school building or arriving on school grounds.
- wash hands/use sanitizer as required to enter a bus/building/classroom. (Wash your hands)
- enter/exit the appropriate door depending on their grade level and transportation to school.
- follow distancing guidelines as prescribed by the district in buildings or buses or on school grounds. (Watch your distance)
Online Registration
Families/Students can also choose Virtual At-Home Instruction provided by programs beyond the ones used during At-School Instruction.
Families/Students agreeing to the conditions associated with At-School Instruction will need to follow the At-School Instruction Expectations. Any family/student who chronically chooses not to follow the expectations may be asked to choose alternative instruction and/or transportation. This is based on the district's goal to provide uninterrupted At-School Instruction for the entire year.
