Check the Program Completion Date on your I-20 or DS-2019
As we get closer to the end of the Spring 2023 semester, we want to remind you to check the program end date on your I-20 or DS-2019. The program end date is located on the first page of your document. If your I-20 or DS-2019 currently lists an incorrect program end date - if you will be finishing your program earlier or later than the date on the document - you must correct this end date by completing ISO’S Program Extension/Shorten Form in collaboration with your academic department. Program extensions must be requested before your I-20 or DS-2019 expires. If you do not request an extension before your document expires, you may experience issues with your immigration status and risk termination of your SEVIS record. For more information, please see ISO’s webpage on extending or shortening your program completion date!
